... Jeff Healey Roadshow Toronto pictures supplied by Long Time Avid Canadian Fan Nick Harding, Cheers Nick. Hi Peter, Here are some pictures from the Toronto Show at Healey's Roadhouse on the 15th. The show was great and as you can see I was right up front.The sound was not as good as last year at the Lula Lounge - probably due to the sound guys level of expertise. The vocals were only being fed through the large speakers on either side of the stage so all of us in the middle only got the instruments. Also the kick drum was WAY too overpowering. It was a definite Catch22 - either good sight lines and poor sound or better (not great) sound and poor line of sight at the back by the bar. While I'm complaining I might as well slag the lighting kid too as it was just as bad. I think they need a couple of new knob twiddlers. But the performance was fine. My 21 year old son was with me and he commented on how happy and animated everyone in the group was. They seemed to be having fun and joked around a lot. Interesting to see Howard's use of a laptop as a lyric sheet! The picture of the funny looking dude with the longish grey hair and the glasses and tan shirt is yours truly... I've put a couple of videos up on Youtube, you'll see what I mean about the kick drum being loud as it killed my audio.
